Assalamualaikum WBT and Greetings.

The Mid-Term Review of the Eleventh Malaysia Plan (MTR-11 MP), among others, emphasises and affirms the importance Public Service Reform in strengthening administrative capacity and improving governance. The aim of this affirmation is to regain public trust and confidence in Public Service.

The Public Service Department (PSD) as a LEADING REFORM, DRIVING CHANGE in the management and development of public service human resources has mobilised an agenda of reform to develop agile and holacracy-based leadership; mobile, multi-tasking, multi-talented and creative human capital; a digital, hybrid and independent organisation; a customer-centric, flexible, innovative and open work culture; as well as service delivery characterised by integrity and professionalism. Through the reform agenda framework, it is hoped that public service will become a unified and credible entity to communicate and realise the Government’s national agenda.

In realising the planned reform agenda, data and information are among the essential assets towards ensuring that every plan and decision is implemented based on accurate information. In this respect, the PSD Portal has been developed to share information for the benefit of civil servants. This bilingual portal provides important information regarding the management and development of public service human resources. Customer-friendly access is provided to facilitate usage of the PSD Portal among civil servants. I urge all civil servants to take full advantage of the PSD Portal.
